Meet Gemma

Hello, my name is Gemma.

I am a soon-to-be A-CFHC and NBC-HWC certified functional health and wellness coach. Like many of you, I have struggled for my whole life with chronic illness. Severe fatigue, gut issues, chronic sinus infections, dizziness, tachycardia…you name it, I’ve probably had it. I understand just what an impact these symptoms have on your ability to work, exercise, socialise and function in society. I get it.

I used to feel completely helpless about my health journey. Doctors told me I just had to ‘accept it’ and there was nothing they could do. That’s when I found …. read more.

Take control of your health journey

When doctors told me there was nothing they could do for my constant exhaustion, severe digestive issues, headaches, insomnia, tachycardia and other symptoms, I was at a complete loss to know where to start. I felt so powerless.

Are you in the same boat? Now, I realise I had far more control over my health journey than I realised, and so do you. Take control of your health journey today with these simple steps.

What is ‘ancestral living’?

Modern day life involves more stress and stimulation, less nutrients, less movement, more chemicals, and less sleep than what human bodies have been traditionally accustomed to. As a result, we’re seeing more and more people getting sick with chronic conditions, or more people just not feeling quite ‘right’.

The idea of ‘ancestral living’ is about recreating the optimum environment to give our bodies exactly what they need to function at their best. Once you’ve built these principles into your life, you’ll never want to go back. Read more…

Read more about my experience and the things I've found to benefit my health journey on my blog.

Can you relate?

Do you share any of the things I have been diagnosed with? They include:

  • ME/CFS,
  • Lyme disease,
  • POTS,
  • Increased gut permeability/leaky gut syndrome,
  • IBS,
  • Mast cell activation disorder,
  • CIRS (mold illness)
  • Histamine interolance
  • Dermoid cyst

Maybe you also have elevated autoimmune antibodies, poor liver function or a very low natural killer cell count? Or numerous other chronic infections?

Or perhaps you can relate to knowing what it is like to care for someone who is ill.

Whether you are here to read about my experience or are keen to engage in some coaching, rest assured I get it. I am deeply committed and passionate about functional health, and about helping you find a way to navigate it. I understand just how complex and overwhelming (and devastating) chronic illness can be.

Because of that, I have devoted myself to learning- learning about optimising human performance, learning about how to find and work with good practitioners, learning about how to live a lifestyle that supports healing.

There’s not much I haven’t tried (check out that picture for proof- shoving UV light up my nose!!). Learn from my experience- with things like FIR saunas, ozone therapy, ice baths, trauma therapies, among others.

My heart goes out to anyone suffering from chronic illness, I genuinely hope my blog, and my coaching practice, can be a useful resource to you. Don’t give up – you got this!
